Join our training: LGBTQ Sensitivity

As caregivers, you play a vital role in providing compassionate and inclusive care to individuals who reside in long-term care facilities. In recent years, there has been significant progress in advancing LGBTQ rights and recognition. However, many LGBTQ individuals still face challenges and discrimination, particularly as they age and enter long-term care settings. It is our responsibility as caregivers to create safe and supportive environments that foster dignity, respect, and equality for all residents, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

That is why we are to announce the upcoming online training session “LGBTQ Sensitivity”. This training is 100% virtual and will be from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm PDT on June 20, 2023

In this training you’ll learn about:

  1. LGBTQ

  2. Legal protections for LGBTQ individuals

  3. Health disparities in LGBTQ communities

  4. Best practices for communication with LGBTQ residents

EVERYONE is invited to join. And those who attend and complete the training will earn a free certificate that will be personally emailed to you! Don’t forget to take the quiz too after the training and test how much you have learned
