Caregiving Basics III: Identify and Explain ISP and IPP

Every consumer in a long-term care facility has the right to be provided with high-quality care that meets their individual wants and needs. The facilities must maintain required documentation regarding the services that were provided to the consumers. Documentations serve as routine procedures and outlines for the staff facility to follow up the consumer’s care plan goals and objectives accordingly. It also helps to ensure that consumers receive the appropriate level of care. When done correctly, documentation can be a powerful tool for providing quality care.
