Caregiving Basics: Roles and Responsibilities as a Caregiver

Roles and Responsibilities as a Caregiver training

This Managing Individuals in Crisis training will go over any circumstance in which a patient’s physical or mental health is being put at risk or exposed to risks.

Crisis can happen on any day and time, so it is important for Caregivers to be prepared. They should know the signs of a potential emotional, physical or external crisis, how to de-escalate a situation, and what resources are available to help an individual in crisis.

Being familiar with your state's laws and regulations, knowing how to access available resources (such as mental health professionals), and also having a good understanding of the policies and procedures of your organization can make the difference between reacting or staying frozen.
