A Recap of Ca Care Association’s General Meeting & Networking Event

MoonGoat Garden Grove  - Ca Care Association recently hosted a special hybrid General Meeting and networking event, on a mission to foster connections while addressing crucial issues in the caregiving industry and workforce. The event happened in MoonGoat Garden Grove last November 15, 2023.

The event brought together a select group of attendees, ensuring an intimate and focused group discussion on topics that are significant to the care industry and its workforce.

The event had several objectives which were set to make the discussion meaningful and for important issues to be addressed during the short time of the meeting.

The objectives of the meeting were:

  • Address challenges related to workforce activation.

  • Provide comprehensive information about municipal grants and loans available for workforce retention and job creation.

  • Build relationships and connections between caregivers, care facility owners, staff, and providers.

  • Conduct workshops and panel discussions on relevant topics in the caregiving industry.

  • Create an exhibition space for care providers to showcase their services and products.

All of the topics in the agenda were successfully discussed. The focused group session gave an opportunity for each and every attendee to share their thoughts and add perspective to the discussion that was being conducted. Some of the topics discussed include:

  • Balancing caregiver wages and client needs

  • End-of-life planning, retirement savings, funeral services

  • Jobfirst program from the City of Garden Grove

  • Importance and benefits of caregiver training given by Ca Care Association

  • Staffing needs and immigration for caregiving businesses

Future events and programs are soon to be discussed with each attendee interested in further collaboration to work on addressing their cause - to help seniors, caregivers, and business owners thrive.

If you missed out on the November general meeting, don’t worry because there will be another one on December. Make sure to register early and save your slot in the focused group discussion.
