The Importance of Coalition-Building & Community Relationships in the Care Industry

As economies shift and as our population ages, more individuals need care. The National Center for Health Statistics reports that 830,000 people received long-term facility-based services in 2016, an increase from 740,000 residents who used these facilities in 2010. With the growth of those individuals' needs and a potential economic recession, it's more important than ever that we think about how we can build coalitions within the Caregiving Industry.

To ensure the delivery of high-quality care, care facilities and their administrators and staff must build relationships and coalitions. In doing so, communication can be improved and facilities can keep each other up to date with the latest developments in terms of laws, regulations, and best practices.

An example of this is Ca Care Association’s work in coalition building as it continues to collaborate with care providers, caregivers, and community partners. Its most recent collaboration is William Young, Founder & President of RCFE Association.

RCFE Association empowers RCFE professionals with ready-to-use information, ideas, and tools that both challenge and inspire them so they can operate successful board and care, 6-bed, and residential assisted living facilities.

This year, RCFE Association is hosting the RCFE Conference 2022 on Aug. 12 which provides a great opportunity for assisted living professionals to participate in active learning, engage in critical discussions, and hear from outstanding presenters with a broad range of expertise within the elder care industry.

If you’re participating as an assisted living professional, click this link to register. There is also a Sponsorship Program that is designed to foster professional relationships between RCFE Association members, senior living professionals, and reputable service vendors.
