November is National Home Care and Hospice Month

This November, we honor all professionals who work in the broad field of home care and hospice work. We celebrate the hard work and dedication of all professionals who provide home care services. These are people that help patients live their lives with dignity as they continue on a journey towards death or illness by providing companionship for everything from bathing to meal preparation; sometimes even helping out around your house so you don't have too much extra stress during this difficult time in life.

Hospice care empowers patients and families to live as fully they can during a life-limiting illness by focusing on quality of life. There are four types of hospice care: routine home care, continuous home care, general inpatient care, and respite care. Each requires a different skillset and comes with its own emotional and physical demands.
