Spotlight on Mental Health: Ca Care Association Teams Up with South Bay Ready for Awareness at the LA County Fair

Date: June 2025

By: Ca Care Association

This Mental Health Awareness Month, Ca Care Association is proud to bring a message of wellness, preparedness, and connection to the heart of the community—right in the parking lot of the LA County Fair.

In partnership with South Bay Ready, we’re launching an innovative community outreach campaign that blends mental health awareness with emergency preparedness, aiming to empower fairgoers with resources, tools, and inspiration to care for themselves and their communities.

Why This Matters

Mental health affects every aspect of our lives—from our ability to care for loved ones to how we respond in times of crisis. At Ca Care, we believe that awareness is the first step toward wellness. That’s why this campaign doesn’t just start conversations—it creates pathways for action.

How We’re Reaching People

Throughout the LA County Fair, fairgoers will find vibrant quarter-page flyers placed on parked cars. These flyers feature a scannable QR code that links directly to our social media pages, encouraging attendees to follow both Ca Care Association and South Bay Ready.

By following both organizations on social media, participants will be entered into exclusive giveaways. These prizes include emergency preparedness kits and supplies curated by South Bay Ready—designed to equip households with practical tools for safety and resilience.

With Gratitude

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our collaborators and champions:

  • The Alzheimer’s Association Southland Chapter for their tireless work supporting caregivers and advocating for individuals affected by memory loss. Their leadership continues to raise awareness about the importance of compassionate, community-based mental health resources for older adults and families navigating dementia.

  • 2Hunned Inc., for their ongoing commitment to cultural empowerment and health equity. Their partnership helps amplify our message across creative platforms and reminds us that mental health awareness must be bold, inclusive, and community-rooted.

Together, these organizations inspire a shared vision: one where every person—regardless of age, background, or diagnosis—has access to care, preparedness, and connection.

Get Involved

Whether you’re at the fair, following online, or supporting from afar, we invite you to:

We’re honored to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month in a way that engages, uplifts, and prepares our communities—and we’re even more excited to welcome new voices into this movement.
